Peltzer Farms School Tours

Peltzer Farms offers school tours for the months of September and October. Teachers bring your classes out to see what thousands of children experience each year a live farm.

Tours begin Monday, Sept 23 through Thursday Oct 31st. Tours are Monday through Friday only from 9am to 1pm. Book your tour early for guaranteed availability.

What Each Tour Includes:

1. Corn Maze Visit. (not guaranteed due to mother nature)
2. Petting farm fun and educational visit.
3. Educational tour through our garden featuring live pumpkins, gourds, sunflowers and specialty squash.
4. Rare glimpse at our antique John Deere Tractor collection.
5. Jack-O-Lantern size pumpkin to take home .
6. 16-page informational and fun book to take home.
7. Shaded picnic area for snacks and lunch.

Tour Hours/Prices:

HOURS: Monday through Friday 9am to 1pm (the last tour begins at 1 pm)

PRICES: All public and private elementary schools are $8.00 per child. Teachers and supervising adults are free (LIMIT 5 ADULTS PER CLASS. ANYTHING OVER THAT PAY $4 per Adult). Any children and/or siblings over 2 years are same as tour price.

MINIMUM OF 20 KIDS FOR GUIDE TOUR.

All home schools and moms groups are $8.00 per child and $4.00 per adult. Any children under the age of 2 years are free with the paid adult. This is due to the large number of adults that accompany these tour groups and adults with strollers.  The ratio of kids to adults is much different than the elementary schools. Adults do not get a pumpkin to take home. Adults may accompany child on tour.
NOTE: Peltzer Train and Pony Rides are available after tour hours and on weekends only.

Payment:

All tours must be paid for in full at time of tour. If you require a purchase order, please plan ahead. There will be no exceptions. please collect all money in advance and bring to front counter at time of tour. If paying by check, make check payable to Peltzer Farms, Inc.

Tour Guidelines and Safety

• Please have your group arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. If you are late for your scheduled time, your tour may be shortened.
• Tours are to last approximately 1 hour.
• We suggest children wear long pants and closed toe shoes. This is a real farm, so the proper clothing will help keep the children safe.
• There is no drinking water available on the farm; Please bring water for the children.
• We suggest children wear school shirt and name tag; this helps to identify your group.
• Portable toilets with hand washing area available.
• Shaded picnic area for snacks and lunch.
• Large picnic area available for lunch or snacks.
• Handicap access -large parking lot with easy access for buses.
